You know we would all love to have the absolute ideal situation for our precious cats.
Our cats give us such friendship, loyalty and trust. I bet I’m not the only one who constantly tells my cats my worries or secrets. It is only right that we reward their devotion by doing as much as we can to make their lives comfortable and interesting.
Most of us don’t have the ideal situation for our cat. Cats love to run in the fresh air, climb trees and play outside in the sunshine. For many apartment dwellers or those living in small units this is not possible. We simply do the best we can to make our cats lives the best we can.
If your cat doesn’t have an outside area of their own that they can play in safely then it is worth considering buying a portable cat cage. Then you and ‘Petal Puss” can go together and find a sheltered spot in a garden and have time together.
I am not suggesting for one moment that we are talking about going to public parks. What I mean here is that most places where we live have a small private garden area that is quiet and safe. This is where the two of you can sit and enjoy the outside fresh air together. Of course it would be better to have your cat in a large cat enclosure off your house or a fixed out door cat house so they could play around in it but we work with what we have.
Cats that always live indoors lose their survival skills so it is absolutely critical that you don’t leave your cat by itself in a portable cat cage outside. They will be anxious if left on their own and also the last thing you want is some idiot letting your ‘Petal’ escape. Also, and surely it doesn’t need to be said, but don’t lose your cat while moving them into portable cages. A body halter on your cat with the lead firmly wrapped around your wrist and held onto is the shot here. This prevents any possibility of losing them.
A Portable lightweight cat cage can come in different sizes. They are inexpensive and are a solution to get your cat outside and let them feel the sun on their faces.
